(If you are using this mount with a GoPro you do need the tripod mount)
Clamping range 5/8 to 1 3/4 inch.
Just screw the post into the tripod mount on the bottom of your camera (all cameras should have these) and slide the post into the tube and you're done.
On and off in seconds and it has rubber clamping pads so it will not scratch.
